Nursing assistant resume: organize experience and concrete evidence
Organize nursing assistant experience, credentials, and a clearly labeled sample bullet without invented metrics or overstated responsibilities.

Choose evidence for the actual vacancy
Describe the population, daily-care support, and communication responsibilities in direct language. Distinguish a training placement from employment, and describe how you worked with the nurse and other assistants during an assignment.
List examples of assisting with daily activities, preserving dignity, following an assigned care plan, and reporting concerns. Include the equipment and teamwork you used without suggesting that helping with a task means you assessed or prescribed care.
Keep a complete work-history document and make a focused version for the opening. Place the most relevant setting and responsibilities first within each job. Preserve accurate titles, employers, and dates even when you change the order of your examples.
Use a work example with an action and context
The following is an illustrative bullet, not a claim about your experience. Adapt its structure only when the work is true for you. A useful bullet identifies the action, the setting or workflow, and the handoff or result you can substantiate.
Assisted residents with daily activities according to assigned care plans and reported changes to the nurse during handoff. Add the setting and duties you can substantiate; avoid patient stories that could identify a resident.
Check each word against a task you performed. Replace broad claims such as expert or responsible for everything with a concrete responsibility. Include a number only when you know its source and have permission to share it; a clear nonnumeric description is more useful than a fabricated improvement.
Label qualifications and training accurately
Check whether the employer requests a specific registry status, completed training, or other documents. Record the exact credential and status you hold, then ask how eligibility will be verified for the position's location.
Separate employment, placements, coursework, and volunteer work with clear headings. For a credential, use the issuing organization and your actual status where relevant. A course, an examination booking, and a completed qualification are different facts; keep them distinct.
- Can I explain every listed skill with an actual example?
- Are supervised activities labeled as supervised?
- Does the resume preserve my actual job titles and dates?
- Have I removed patient details and confidential employer material?
Check the document the employer will read
Registry status and job titles vary. Use the employer's documented verification process and do not treat a CNA title as proof of readiness for every technician duty.
Use ordinary headings and readable text. Follow the posting's requested file format, open the saved document, and check that names, contact details, headings, and dates are intact. Compare the uploaded version with the application fields before submission. Save the exact version with the posting so you can prepare for an interview using the same evidence the reviewer received.
